biography

Chiara Vitellozzi is a photographer and visual artist, she lives and works in Milan.
After training as an architect at the University of Florence, she dedicates her constant photographic research to the exploration of the interiority of the individual.
The goal is to tell the dichotomies that reside in the depths of every human being (light/shadow, dream/reality, life/death) through a careful creative process in which self-portraits and portraits represent fundamental means of reflection and communication.

In 2021 she published the book Sleeping with Ghosts where she investigates the obsession and fear of abandonment.
Her interest in social issues and fragilities lead her to collaborate with the Ri-scatti odv association as a tutor in photography workshops and as a curator for exhibition spaces.
At the same time, she teaches at IED Milan.
